Valentine's Day!!

This was one of the best V-days I have ever had. To be honest we had not planned that much this year but it worked out I guess!

Matt came home Monday and had a dozen of these.....

I guess not too big of a deal, but roses are not usually something Matt will get me very often, I think because he would rather spend the money on something that won't die in a week, but he knows I LOVE getting flowers. So this year I got some, he is such a cutie! We ended up going to a to dinner that night at a restaurant called Stanford's, an original Portland restaurant maybe I think? Matt's sister got us hooked on this place. It is a little pricey and fancy, so not a place we go often, but we decided it was a good enough excuse of a holiday to go. After dinner I planned on us just headed home to watch the beloved "Bachelor", but we decided to go to "Gnomeo and Juliet 3D", we did end up waiting an hour for the show which was half the fun. We get crazy and funny when waiting for movies, especially an hour! It was a pretty a cute show! Good little romantic film for Valentine's Day.

Overall it was an awesome Valentine's Day! Nothing too exciting, but I guess I just love spending time with Matt anytime I can! School has been beyond busy for him lately, so him studying has taken over a lot of our time together. He is such a hard worker and I am SO proud of him. I know I would never have enough dedication to do all the work and studying that he has to do. He amazes me!

Winter here in Oregon is HOPEFULLY coming to a close, this year was not nearly as bad as last year, rain wise. But I do miss the sun some days! ha ha, I will never take a sunny day in winter for granted ever again after living here. We are really looking forward to a bunch of my family coming to visit next month and then we are headed to Salt Lake AND St. George over Matt's spring break. It will be so good to see family, friends, and just to be back in Utah for a bit. I am so grateful my job is flexible enough that I can get time off like that. Hope everyone else had a great Valentine's Day too! And cross your fingers this rain will stop for us soon!
